About the piece

This piece originated as a pedagogical project within the Stockholm City School of Arts, where a group of students experimented with already written texts, which they related to in visual art, music and as an exercise in reading loud. The reading was recorded, and then I was commissioned to create something out of the texts. The installation was supposed to be used as background in the opening of the exhibition of the students’ art.

The project was a part of the Socrates/European Union project “Dialogue” where nine countries experiments with new ways of reaching out with literature. The piece was later used in the international presentation of the Stockholm project in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

First performance in Stockholm, Sweden in March 2008.
