Tuning music is one of several pieces composed for an unspecified ensemble. Working with ensembles and musicians at the Academy of Music in Malmö I saw the need for making it possible for extremely diverse constellations of musicians to play together. More often than not it is a common interest in new music that makes musicians want to play contemporary music rather than a specific ensemble type.

I consequently composed a series of open pieces.

This piece is exploring the smallest possible musical element: one note. It is moving through the insides of it .
