Salt is
a piece involving poetry, singing, music and electronics. It is a collaboration
between the poet and composer and is based on texts from Gilliards collection
of poems called NattfŒglar (Night Birds).
All
material is based on the reading of the text, the melodies are extracted from
the pitches of the reading, and all computer parts are somehow connected to it,
giving a special kind of music.
